Tonight: Athens 2004 Opening Ceremony!

Time: Friday 6.30PM
Location: Bits & Bytes - Internet Cafe Athens

Tonight it's all happening, the opening of the Athens 2004 Olympic Games. Everyone is nervous as hell, except the Greeks, they're still fixing things last minute. Since I don't have tickets for the opening ceremony (they go +500 euro for a class C ticket), I will watch the ceremony on Sofia's super large flatscreen tv. Sofia and Spyros(my hosts) are hosting twelve volunteers, so it's gonna be an other great party night. Make sure to watch the show!

What happened yesterday night and today? Last night we spent some time in downtown Athens, met the complete Rusian team and saw the place where the olympic torch arrived. Today, an other day of training with more new volunteers, we are now more than 50 for result distribution at the main pool! The real stuff starts tomorrow morning at ten o'clock with the Men's 400m Individual Medley... I hope the African athletes won't forget to bring their swimsuit and goggles. (believe it or not, a trainer of an African team asked today, where to get swimsuits and goggles for his team!!!)
